In the event of the loss of a license plate, I require the following documents:
1.Declaration of loss (signed)
2. Copy of ID (from the owner)
3. the other license plate (if present)
4. the vehicle registration document (Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil II)
5. the vehicle registration document (Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil I)
6. the purchase contract (proof of ownership)
I need the originals of these documents; with them, I can go to the police and report the loss of the license plate.
With the certificate I then receive, I can deregister the vehicle.
